2. What cookies are
Cookies are small files that a website stores on or reads from the user's device. Among other functions they keep a session alive, remember preferences, protect forms, measure how the site is used or adapt its content. Technologies with similar purposes may also be used, such as local storage, pixels or online identifiers; references to cookies in this policy include those technologies where applicable.
3. Types of cookies by the party that manages them
- First-party cookies: managed by CHIPTUNER S.L. from the chiptuner.net domain.
- Third-party cookies: managed by external providers whose services are integrated into the website.
4. Types of cookies by duration
- Session cookies: normally deleted when the browser is closed.
- Persistent cookies: remain for a set period or until the user deletes them.
5. Categories and legal basis
Strictly necessary cookies
They enable the basic operation of the website, security, session handling, the cart, authentication, load balancing and the storage of consent preferences. They require no consent when they are strictly necessary to deliver a service requested by the user or to allow communication over the network.
Preference or personalisation cookies
They remember choices such as language, region or presentation. Where the preference is chosen directly by the user and the cookie only stores that choice, it may count as strictly necessary. In every other case it will be used with consent only.
Analytics or measurement cookies
They show in aggregate form how the website is used, help detect errors and improve performance. They are activated only once the user has given consent, unless a specific configuration is legally exempt.
Advertising or behavioural advertising cookies
They measure campaigns, limit how often an advert is repeated or build profiles based on browsing. They are installed with consent only.
The legal basis for non-necessary cookies is the user's consent, requested through the cookie management panel. The basis for processing tied to strictly necessary cookies is the delivery of the requested service and, where applicable, the legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and technically operational.
6. List of cookies used
The list must reflect at all times the cookies actually installed by the published version of chiptuner.net. For each cookie it will show at least its name, provider or domain, purpose, category and duration.
The automatic table from the consent manager will be inserted here once the final version of the site has been scanned.
| Cookie or technology | Provider/domain | Purpose | Category | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| — | — | Pending the consent manager scan | — | — |
Cookies that are not in use must not appear in the table, and active cookies must not be left out. The table has to be updated whenever a provider or technology is added, removed or changed.
7. Third-party cookies
Third parties that install cookies may process information under their own policies. The settings panel identifies every active provider and links to the corresponding information. CHIPTUNER S.L. will not activate non-necessary third-party cookies before obtaining the required consent.
8. How to manage consent
On the first visit the banner lets you:
- accept all cookies;
- reject all non-necessary cookies;
- set preferences by category.
Accepting and rejecting are presented with equivalent visibility. No non-necessary cookie is installed before the user has made a choice.
You can withdraw or change your consent at any time through the permanent «Cookie settings» link or button in the footer. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.
9. Browser settings
You can also block or delete cookies from your browser settings. The steps depend on the browser and the device. Disabling strictly necessary cookies may prevent access to the account, the cart, payment or other essential features.
Browser settings do not necessarily replace the consent panel on chiptuner.net, particularly for technologies other than traditional cookies.
10. International transfers
Where a cookie provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, information about the transfer and the safeguards applied must appear on its entry in the panel or in the policy it links to. CHIPTUNER S.L. selects providers that offer a valid mechanism under the GDPR.
11. Data protection and rights
Where identifiers obtained through cookies constitute personal data, their processing is also governed by the Privacy Policy. You can exercise your rights by writing to info@chiptuner.net with the subject «Data protection» and lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency.
12. Changes to this policy
CHIPTUNER S.L. may update this policy following legal, technical or provider changes. The version in force is the one published on this page and shows the date it was last updated.
For any question about cookies, write to info@chiptuner.net.
