Every Stage 1 file is prepared for the specific vehicle. This is not a generic remap, but a calibration based on the original ECU file.

First, the operator reads the factory file from the control unit. The file is then calibrated for the specific ECU fitted to the car and its exact software version.

During the process, key ECU maps are adjusted, including air delivery, fuel delivery and torque limiters. The software calibration is carried out by qualified CHIPTUNER engineers, after which the operator writes the updated file back to the vehicle using certified equipment for ECU work.

Before any changes are made, the original ECU file is saved and archived. If the vehicle ever needs to be returned to factory settings, this can be done quickly.

Stage 1 does not require mechanical modifications. Nothing is cut, drilled or replaced. The vehicle keeps its factory hardware, and emissions remain within the standard operating parameters.

During normal driving, fuel consumption usually stays the same. In some cases, it may improve slightly because the engine works more efficiently under partial load.

The calibration can be installed at any official CHIPTUNER dealer or directly at our headquarters in Marbella, Spain.
